About me
Born in 1971 in Ecuador, Maribel Ampuero discovered her passion for painting through her art studies, a vocation that has defined her career. Originally trained as a nurse and cosmetologist, she began painting at the age of 25 as a complement to her work in ceramics and wood inlay in her own workshop.
In the year 2000, she publicly exhibited her works for the first time at the exhibition center in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
A year later, she held her next exhibition in a gallery, also in Quito.
In March 2004, the Bayouma House, a cultural center for foreigners living in Berlin, gave her the opportunity to hold her first exhibition in Germany, which was visited, among others, by the ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador.
